artifacts are known by the clans as remnants of the past that give them possible evidence of cats who were alive and how they lived. these artifacts are often depictions of famous or infamous cats, etched into bark or trees, or painted with berries and mud onto bark or flat stones.

etching in birch
This rough drawing was found etched into a strip of birch bark. It depicts what appears to be a slender tabby cat with a white chest, standing beside what seems to be The Crossing on WindClan territory. It was discovered underneath one of the crossing stones, and was cleaned, and is now preserved in the Medicine Den. Many cats who have visited StarClan at the Owl's Tree believe this to be Owlscreech, who is said to have been a black tabby oriental with a white chest.
