chamomiledust was born chamomilekit, along with his sister, daisykit. their mother named them after nearby flowers. it was late spring, and nothing could seemingly be wrong.
just a week into the kittens birth, their father died after falling down a steep drop and breaking many limbs. his mother was sad that the kittens wouldn't be able to bond with their father, but wasn't very close with hawkswoop and wasn't deeply affected by his death.
when they began noticing something was wrong with chamomilekit, he was checked out by the medicine cat, and it was found that he had a lame foot. his entire time in the nursery, he was being told he would be forced to work as a medicine cat. he didn't care much, he couldn't really spot the difference between being a warrior and being a medicine cat, and he didn't know that he was expected to be disappointed.
when he was made an apprentice with his sister, windclan was shocked to hear that he would be made a warrior apprentice.
he struggled at first, finding it hard to keep up with his more fit counterparts, but after just a few months he was in good shape, and was one of the best apprentices at the time.
he trained for a few more uneventful months before being made a warrior with his sister. the two lanky siblings excelled at warrior duties, and it seems the two are naturally talented.
