about
sunclan is well known as the more young spirited, lighthearted, social clan. they focus more on fun and happiness than anything else, and they tend to be very caring and sympathetic.
their camp was made after many, many seasons of deer and moose nesting in the tall grass during the spring. these creatures would flatten out the grass and make a bed to give birth comfortably in, and after time, instead of making new nests, they would instead use the ones others had made in that same area. and so, the clearing in which the sunclan camp is located became smooth, the grass is flattened and formed into a spiral shape.
they like to keep this camp open, they have no dens and instead nest in the grass like the deer would do. occasionally, they dig small holes or tunnels around camp to hide food, herbs, and belongings.
in the winter, sunclanners take to the trees, or more specifically, the big oak right next to camp. they nest among the trees while the ground is cold and covered in snow, and often travel like squirrels from branch to branch.
in the spring, when deer and moose lay down to have their fawns and calves, the sunclan warriors again take to the oak to allow the creatures to use the clearing to nest like they have for many centuries. this has become a sacred tradition.
sunclan cats are more in tune with nature, in the fact that they respect other living creatures very much. they prey before each meal and feel every drop of guilt for taking the life of another living animal. they take pride in nursing their babies, and are gentle felines.
sunclanners also tend to be more sentimental. they like gifts, and put value in material things, such as objects like bones, rocks, metal, and jewelry. kittens often play dress up with feathers and skulls, and as they age they continue this into dances with man-made objects, feathers, scales, and bones.
they're the humanity of windclan, and happily try to teach their neighbors more kind ways, though they often feel bullied by the field-runners. despite this, they will always turn to windclan in times of need, and depend on them greatly.
